South Gulf Cove is a vast deed-restricted, waterfront community of over 62,000 acres comprised of over 15,000 lots (about 4,700 of which are waterfront). The neighborhood has seen a dramatic increase in the number of homes built in recent years. The canal system in South Gulf Cove feeds (via lock system) into Charlotte Harbor.
